The Best Gluten Free Sweet Potato Pie

To make the yam puree, wash and bake a few medium sized potatoes at 375 degrees F. Make sure that the skin has loosened and that the flesh is soft. This is a process that takes about 30 minutes to one hour. After the sweet potatoes have cooled, peel them carefully. Place the peeled potatoes in a food processor and process them until they form a thick even paste.

After you have these two basic ingredients ready, the next step is getting them together. Prepare a baking tin and lay out the crust as directed. Mix the sweet potatoes, eggs, butter and milk into a thick paste. Add sugar, salt and any other preferred spice and mix them until even in texture.

The next step is preheating the oven and baking the crust for around ten minutes. Get the crust out and add the mixture of the sweet potato. Bake at about 350 degrees for 15 more minutes. Later, remove the pie out of the oven and let it cool. Alternatively, you can cool it in the refrigerator for almost one and a half hours. Make sure it settles for about 30 minutes at ambient temperature of about 70 degree Fahrenheit before serving.
