The function of a polyphenol is to fight the oxidation that happens inside a persons body. With this, ailments that are related to the age are prevented. Some of these ailments are heart disease, high cholesterol, hypertension, and some types of deadly cancers.

The oils contain a high content of fatty acids that are monounsaturated. The benefit that you can get from it is lowering the risks for heart diseases and strokes. These fatty acids which are monounsaturated serve as the protection against heart diseases and strokes and this would happen by the reduction of LDL levels or the bad cholesterol. Having these oils is better than those fats which are animal based like lard and butter. Having these is also bad for your health. An excessive consumption of these fats will possibly result to increased risks of strokes, heart diseases, and heart attacks.

Another danger to this is that if often associated to the consumption of these with too much amount is dietary imbalance. The fat is digested by the human body slower than other types of food. Too much of this causes the person not to feel as hungry like when when thriving to eat lean meats, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits.
