Purposes Of Using Cajun Flip N Fry In Cajun Cuisines

A cajun cuisine is made originally by French people in the older times. Extremely poor people developed this food, such as the farmers and refugees. The ingredients are available locally, thus, preparing it can be very simple. In this meal, there three number of pots. First, for the main dish or dishes, second, for seafood dishes, steamed rice, and special sausages, and the third one is for any vegetables. Two staple meats which are very common are the shrimps and the pork sausages.

The spices that are usually present in this type of cuisine are bell peppers, onions, and celery. These are three favorite vegetables that adds flavor to the cuisine. These are being called as the Holy Trinity by most chefs. Other usual ingredients are cayenne pepper and garlic. Today, to make this food a lot more easy, a cajun flip n fry product was made available. This is used for breading fish, chicken, shrimp, or even vegetables.

Boudin is one of the favorite dishes. It is a pork sausage type that contains garlic, pork liver, green onions, rice, and other spices. These are made daily because it cannot be placed in freezers and cannot be kept long. Unlike any other sausage variations, boudins are stuffed in a natural casing and it also has a softer consistency. Boudins are usually served with a side dish such as rice dressing.

Three of the very popular local dishes are the rice and gravy, jambalaya, and gumbo. Jambalaya is a dish that has some seafoods like shrimp and crawfish, meat like beef or chicken, and rice. However, hot chili peppers, tomatoes, celery, onions, and green peppers can also be mixed. Other additional spices or ingredients may also be added.

Gumbo is a soup and which is also one of the list of favorites for cajun cooking. The name gumbo originally comes from the word okra, which is one of the main ingredients for gumbo recipes. Okra is used for thickening and to enhance its vegetable flavor.

File gumbos use dried sassafras leaves when thickening after the stew has been cooked. A gumbo backbone has two different variations of roux which are the dark roux and the golden brown roux. Classic gumbos are made from sausages or andouille, and also from chicken. The ingredients varies upon the availability.

Gravy and rice are other staple dishes for the cajun cuisine. Gravies are mostly made brown that according to the pan drippings. This is glazed and is simmered with other extra seasonings and served above a steamed rice or boiled. Traditionally, dishes like these are made meat cooked inside an iron pot. The meat will be cooked longer for it to be more tender.

In some traditional events, people will boil potatoes, onions, corns, and crawfish in large pots mixed with some other ingredients and seasonings. In this event, the attendees are encouraged in sucking the head of the crawfish. This is done by separating the abdomen and sucking its fat or juices.

Another type of event is the food event in outdoors. The farmers in rural areas are the host. The activities include dancing, eating, drinking, playing games, and many more. The men will slaughter hogs and will cook it as the main dish and the women make boudins.
